Setting up your institution

From the director's sign-up to your first booked patient — step by step. It takes about fifteen minutes.

For hospital owners, directors and administrators

Create your own account

The owner or director signs up in the Niro app with their own mobile number, and chooses Institution on the sign-up screen. One person, one account — the institution is registered under your name as the authorised person.

Register the institution

Enter the institution's name, town and telephone, and drop the map pin on your building — that pin is how patients find you in "near me" searches. You are now the administrator.

Part of a group? Put the chain's name — Asiri, for example — in the group field, and name the branch by its town. Each branch stays its own institution, with its own desk, staff and records; the group name only makes the branches findable together.

Open your channelling desk

Turn on the Channelling department and the desk is yours: list your consultants, publish their sessions, and patients book from their phones with a queue number. As administrator you always have access to channelling — no extra step.

Switch on the departments you run

OPD, dentistry, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, allied health — tick only what your institution actually operates. Each department gets its own portal and its own staff.

Invite your staff

In Manage staff, add each person with their name, mobile number, department and a 4-digit join PIN. They open the Employee portal in their own Niro app, enter the PIN once, and set a personal work PIN. Every action they take is stamped with their name.

Clerks and clinic nurses belong to the Channelling department — they run the queue and record observations before the doctor sees the patient.

Working in a department yourself?

Administration and clinical work are separate hats. To dispense, report or enter results yourself, add yourself as staff of that department too — the same way you added the others.

Get verified

Photograph your PHSRC registration (and NMRA licence for a pharmacy) and business registration in the app. Once checked, your institution carries a verified badge that patients can see.
